Headliners School of Performing Arts, 165 Fraser St, Nanaimo (beside Mrs. Riches), has been known for its music in the past, and it’s pleased to announce that Jacqui Kaese, former owner of the Spotlight Academy, is joining their creative team. Starting in May, Headliners will provide regular film and TV classes for all ages and skill levels. After a three-year hiatus, Jacqui is back, coaching and motivating kids and adults on a voyage of self discovery, gently pushing them to their full potential in film and TV.
Jacqui Kaese has forged a foundation of opportunity for the youth of Nanaimo in the epicenter of a global industry. In her fifteenth year of coaching film and TV, her students have worked alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Jacqui has a proven track record, recognized and respected by top industry professionals.
Past students include Cameron Bright (Twilight), Justin Chatwin (War of the Worlds, Dragon Ball Z), Shaun Sipos (Melrose Place, CSI Miami), Beau Mirchoff (Desperate Housewives), Eric Peter Kaiser (Island Gateway Productions, Basement Jack), Colin Ford (Jack and the Beanstalk, Dungeon Seige), Quinn Lord, Blake Woodruff, John De Santis, Heather Mcewan, Alehandro Abellon, Matthew Bristol, and Danny Bristol.
Headliners School of Performing Arts is currently taking registration for some professional workshops in May, 2010. These include Take 1 – Film and TV for Adults, Kids in Film – Tiny Tots in Commercials, Fashion Model 2010 – Introduction to Modeling. Band Tweak – Band and Stage Performance Classes for Young Musicians, and The Rock Laboratory – Beginner Band Classes for all ages and instruments.
