This six-week course with instructor Linda Findlay is ideal for those who have taken the Nanaimo Art Gallery’s absolute beginner drawing workshop. Building on the basic skills, students will learn more about drawing media such as charcoal, conte, graphite, and the techniques used for each. Through a series of interesting and dynamic exercises, you will be encouraged to find your own style and unique expression. You will learn about observation, line, form, proportion, depth, volume and composition. With each class you will gain confidence in your technical skills and free expression. Come and learn how much fun it is to draw.
Introduction to Drawing, The Next Step, will be on six Monday evenings from October 18, to November 22, 2010, from 6.30 pm to 9 pm. Tuition is $135 plus HST for gallery members or $155 plus HST for non-members. A supply list will be provided at time of registration. The classes will be held at the Nanaimo Art Gallery, VIU Branch, 900 Fifth Street. For more information, call Chris Kuderle at 250-740-6350.
