Cancer Society Daffodils

This spring the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is asking British Columbians to join the fight against cancer by making a donation and wearing a badge of courage – the Daffodil Pin. The provincial government has proclaimed Friday, April 9, 2010, Daffodil Day. Every year in British Columbia, 20,000 are diagnosed with cancer and approximately 9,400 will die from the disease, so CCS is working to raise funds and create awareness through their daffodil campaign. On April 9, British Columbians can wear the daffodil pin and show their support at events held across British Columbia, including an awareness-raising event on Vancouver Island.
